Biography of Empress Wu Zetian (Chinese Edition)

Wu Zetian was the only legitimate empress in Chinese history. Inheriting the 'Zhenguan Heyday' and initiating the 'Kaiyuan Flourishing Age', she made the historical merits with 'Zhenguan Customs'. She was the second daughter of Wu Shihuo who was a meritorious statesman of Tang Dynasty and was elected to the harem at the age of 14 as a consort of Emperor Taizong of Tang who gave her the art name Wu Mei. In the early years of Emperor Gaozong, she was a concubine, later as the queen and empress, jointly known as ''Two Holy Ones'' with Emperor Gaozong Li Zhi. She claimed to be the empress and established the Wu Zhou Dynasty with the capital in Luoyang known as 'Holy Capital'. During her reign, the policy was stable, the military strategy was proper, the culture was prosperous, while the people was rich, laying a foundation for the 'Kaiyuan Flourishing Age' established by her grandson Emperor Xuanzong.
