In order to let him grow up, Goddess Alulu makes a boy with clay Enkidu, which is as strong and brave as he is, and the two become each other's soul mate. They go on an adventure, kill a monster, and defeat a longicorn, but Enkidu unfortunately dies. Feeling grieved, Gilgamesh crosses the river to look for a couple who can bring the dead back to life. However, he fails to pass the test of sleep, and his hard-won magical herb is eaten by a snake. Nevertheless, these mysterious experiences make him a mature and duteous king. He engraves these stories on a clay board, sharing it with generation after generation of people.
