My name is Céline LaFleur, and I am the daughter of a gypsy. When she was alive, my mother had the power to see into the future. She could see the moment in a person's life that would change him or her forever -- for better or worse. My mother saw into my future. She told me that my life-altering event would happen on my thirtieth birthday. That day is today. Life-altering is one way to describe the events that transpire over the course of the story I am about to tell you. First, let me tell you that werewolves exist, as do half-breeds. That is what I am. I also discover that not everything is as it appears. Some who appear as monsters are kind and loving on the inside, and some who appear kind and loving are really cruel and evil monsters. The last thing I will share with you before I begin my story is that there is a force in this world that can guide you, if you listen to it. There are some who have been chosen by Bella Luna, the moon goddess, and those Chosen will always find a way to each other. So, if I have intrigued you to turn the book around and begin reading, be warned. There are many things in this world that cannot be explained. Once you know about them, your world might never be the same again. Mine wasn't.
