The children who enter The Main Street Clinic to see dedicated family therapist, Katie Collier, are brokenhearted and traumatized. Katie is devastated when authorities discover the toddler dead in a parked van during the hottest part of a Texas summer, but she also wonders … was this a tragic accident or was the child murdered? Originally from Greenpond, Alabama, Merilyn Howton Marriott holds a bachelor's and master's degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. She is a highly respected licensed professional counselor who has owned practices across Texas, where she specialized in treating traumatized children. She and her husband Rick make their home in Spring, Texas.
