She serves as the Executive Director of Operation Literacy, a national 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to promoting children's literacy. She has taught at universities across the country on the subjects of writing, story, leadership, and entrepreneurship. She divides her free time between reading, taking spontaneous trips, researching random events from the past, and fostering her adrenaline junkie addictions.
