Rock Hill is the story of a young boy growing up in a Southwest Washington State Logging and Lumbering Community during the early 1950’s. The humorous story is in two parts: Elementary and Junior High School. Jim, the main character in Rock Hill. is a very precocious fifth grade boy who has an active life in his town, in a boy’s gang and in his school where he is a very vocal class member. Jim loves his fifth grade teacher Miss Heart, a Minnesota beauty, and his Dad and Mom. In Junior High, Jim discovers girls, dancing , competitive sports, and a wider world of opportunity.
