How much damage can one Yeti possibly attract when such a highly advanced cultural creature as he comes into contact with rural England? He is polite, considerate, intelligent, peaceable and discreet, so surely all will be well. Unfortunately, he is also a heavy drinker, unembarrassed by bodily functions, over seven foot tall, overtly evangelical in his Christianity, and highly protective of his new young human-human friend Phyllis. You ve heard of Chaos Theory ? Well, meet Gordon the Yeti the probable design model for the concept. Rupert Bacon lived in Sussex for many years and loved the open downs, the nestling villages, the coastal scenery, and of course, Chichester Cathedral with its glorious music dedicated to the worship of God. The only thing missing in the idyllic life was a yeti to keep him company on his adventures. He now lives equally contentedly on Bodmin Moor where the unseen eyes of the Beast of Bodmin keep a careful watch on any of his wanderings. Long live mysterious and inexplicable creatures.
