Before the time of warp drive starships whisking explorers between planets, humankind had to slog its way to the stars by the crude means of riding the Rip, creating a self-mending tear in space-time, light year by light year. Noel Bernard was born in Long Island, New York and has spent the past twenty-five years living in the Pacific Northwest. This is Noel Bernards first science fiction novel. He has been an avid fan of the genre since he was first exposed to the works of Bradbury, Asimov, and Heinlein in the early fifties. He is a retired government Scientist who has decided to put pen to paper to breathe life into his vision of the future. Noel enjoys reading and watching science fiction and fantasy, both the bad and the good. His pastimes include; riding motorcycles, sailing, fishing, carpentry and playing Bridge. He relishes his life of leisure with his wife, and dog.
