Through a struggle for truth of a main character Bronius Adomaitis, you will be able to get a glimpse of life of common people in Lithuania during Stalin’s era. Through eyes of other characters of the novel, you will be acquainted with the lifestyle, hardships, and traditions of ordinary people there. Pain and excitement are in the book, and feelings good or bad, despair and joy of creation are portrayed in it, as well.
